The developers of the Miasma Meter recognised the need for a device to monitor the concentration and flow rate of Methane and other ground gases in real time that was Simpler, Smarter, and Cheaper than existing technology. 

Simpler, because it utilises differential pressure to provide the motive force required to move ground gas from inside a well, across the sensor heads and out. This radically reduces the overall power demand.

Smarter, because it does away with the need for pumps and associated power through either batteries and/or solar infrastructure. This means it can fit down a 50 well and be neatly secured under a gatic lid or lockable upstand.  The data is transmitted directly via telemetry and can be accessed on-line or uploaded via Bluetooth on site.

Cheaper, because it is easier to manufacture but more importantly does away with the need to drill larger wells, to replace batteries regularly, attend site to take time limited readings, or to have insecure ancillary equipment attached that is subject to vandalism and theft. 

The Miasma Meter is a passive continuous monitoring device suitable for landfill applications for the purpose of compliance, site assessment and determining potential gas recovery for flaring and/or energy/carbon credit generation.
